Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PulseBooks ("Service"), operated by us. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PulseBooks provides online tools for income and expense tracking, invoicing, reporting, and related features. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice where practicable.

2. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account.
  • You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or third-party integrations.
  • Upload malware or content that infringes others' intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Use the Service to send spam or misleading communications.

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or risks harm to the Service or other users.

4. Organizations and teams

Where you use organisations or team features, you represent that you have authority to bind your organisation. Organisation owners and admins may access and manage data for that organisation in line with product functionality and these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Paid plans, trials, renewals, taxes, and refunds are described in our Subscriptions & refunds page and at checkout. Fees are charged via our payment provider until you cancel in accordance with those terms.

6. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, branding, and documentation. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your internal business purposes during your subscription or free tier, subject to these Terms.

7. Your data

You retain ownership of data you submit. Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. You grant us a licence to host, process, and display your content as needed to provide the Service and as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that financial outputs are suitable for tax, legal, or accounting filings without independent professional review.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim or fifty US dollars (USD $50), except where liability cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms, subject to applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, legal requirements, or extended inactivity as described in our policies. Provisions that by nature should survive will survive termination.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and updating the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice where required. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your contracting entity's jurisdiction, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, where permitted.

14. Contact
